Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare for studio recording and operations
- Discuss production requirements and timelines with relevant personnel
- Prepare script materials and other documentation in required format
- Distribute required documentation to relevant production areas
- Assist with securing copyright clearances
- Confirm bookings for facilities and check all resources required for productions are available on time
- Check artists and resource providers are fully briefed about production requirements
- Coordinate availability of production requirements and check script timings and durations are correct
- Call shots and cue in sources during productions
- Keep production personnel up-to-date with production requirements
- Check production personnel are familiar with cueing procedures to be used during productions
- Give verbal and non-verbal cues on time and follow creative directions, paying due regard to time required by others to fulfil their roles
- Cue visual and audio sources in line with production requirements
- Call shots as they happen to meet production requirements, and physically roll pre-recorded items
- Monitor progress of productions against requirements
- Time durations and pre-recorded items, including compilations and retakes, and make calculations in hours, minutes and seconds
- Monitor safety and security of work area and take action to minimise risks as required
- Arrange post-production requirements
